Jay Truax
In the late ‘60s, Jay compiled an impressive rock ‘n roll résumé playing with bands that figured prominently in the music scene. He formed a band, Spirit of Creation, with friend John Mehler, and they opened for major acts such as The Grateful Dead, Credence Clearwater Revival, and Iron Butterfly. Jay became restless and decided to move to Hawaii in hopes of finding “paradise.” Disappointed, he returned, realizing that something was lacking in his life. In search of that “something”, Jay found himself living with Chuck Girard, Fred Field, and Tommy Coomes. He later co-founded the Christian rock band, LoveSong. They recorded three albums and toured the US and the Philippines. LoveSong was one of the first bands of the contemporary Christian genre and the chief model for others that followed. Jay lives in Newport Beach, CA.
Bob Wall
Born August 12, 1948 Burbank California
Bob grew up in semi-rural Tujunga, California, on the outskirts of Los Angeles. He fell in love with guitar music at an early age and founded several rock bands in the mid-1960’s, including three bands that were signed to recording contracts.
Then he met Jesus, Freddie Piro, and LoveSong, in that order.

John Mehler
John was born and raised in Southern California. John’s home was always filled with music, and music was enculturated in John’s heart and soul before he could walk. John met Jesus of Nazareth the summer of 1968. This encounter with the King of Kings radically changed everything in John’s life.
Just prior to joining Love Song, he formed a band, Spirit of Creation, with friends Jay Truax and Chuck Fraher. This trio opened rock shows for the biggest groups of the day… Three Dog Night, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Spirit, The Grateful Dead and many others. In the summer of 1970, he joined Love Song. John and his family live in Sweden.
